      Hi,

I have my FedEx plugin setup and am amazed at how straightforward and easy it is. I have just submitted my labels for evaluation by FedEx and am hoping everyghing gets approved shortly.

One thing that caught my attention is that the line spacing in the “From:” section at the top left of the label is uneven. Between my company name and address lines there is no space at all, they’re touching. Between the address and city/province/postal code lines there is a lot of space.

Can anything be done to even out the spacing between these lines? I think that it will make things more legible, and I’m scared that FedEx may not approve my labels for this reason.

      Thanks.

      Hi Gordan,

Thanks for reaching out to us.
FedEx will definitely approve your label. This is because, we are not creating our own labels. In fact, we are just sending the details of the shipment in the request. FedEx create the labels and defines the format for it. So be rest assured that this would not be a problem. Just curious though, can you post a screenshot of the label with the problem?

      Hi,

Thanks for your help. You are correct, it was all approved this morning. I received an email from FedEx stating the following:

FedEx Web Services Customers Using WSDLs:
      1) Open the <service name>.WSDL and scroll to the end of the WSDL.
      2) Remove the word “beta” from the attribute value of the “address location” element.
      3) Replace your test credentials (Developer Test Key, Password, Account, and Meter Number) with your production credentials.
      4) Sign up for Web Services Alerts and Outage Notifications (http://emails.fedex.com).

FedEx Web Services Customers Using XSDs:
      1) Modify the URL contained within your HTTPS post operation from “https://wsbeta.fedex.com:443/xml” to “https://ws.fedex.com:443/xml”.
      2) Replace your test credentials (Developer Test Key, Password, Account, and Meter Number) with your production credentials.
      3) Sign up for Web Services Alerts and Outage Notifications (http://emails.fedex.com).

Does the software automatically change the above settings when I select the, “This is a production key” setting?

      Thanks,
      Gord

      Hi Gordan,

Do not worry about this. This is all handled in the plugin.
You can go ahead with your shipping.
