I manually enter several items with attributes. I then export that and format my nearly 9000 items to fit that format in a csv file. That file is nearly 25megs in size. I then test the import, by reducing the csv down to a couple hundred and I get tons of errors.
questions:
1) How can I completely delete the database to start from scratch? Even though the products showed proper import, none of them show up. When I export I get a ton of product that doesn’t show.
2) I’ve already pre-loaded all the image files, but should I have loaded the images at the same time as I import?https://www.dropbox.com/s/z50s34d0v2x83fj/Screenshot%202016-08-22%2012.13.36.png?dl=0

Hi Jhon,
For deleting products , product variations and orphaned variations , there is option added intools by this plugin.
If just updating the product with CSV those have already uploaded images , no need to map images again. Even if images column is mapped import process will not upload images if it exists in current server.
Let us know if need more help on this.

Mark,
Deleted all of products…although it would appear that there is still a record of them since the first time I tried importing, I was told the product already existed.

Then it combined all entries into a single product, and listed some 142 variations.
