Here we shall consider the following business case –
>When a customers, the regular price would remain the sales price.
To break it down –
“The price of the Diary is - $200
The price of the Pen is - $139.
When someone purchase one Diary, give one Pen for free. But, for every subsequent purchase of the pen, give each unit for $100.”
There can be many reasons as do that.
First case can be that, the Diary is a non-selling product, so in order tomers by giving discounts on a popular product like the Fountain Pen.
Second reason can be that, you want tomers by giving them some special privileges in the form of discounts.
In any case, this can be achieved by the Dynamic Pricing and Discounts plugin in the following ways –
Two types of rules are required to be set up.
1. Buy One and Get One Free.
2. Combinational Rules.
Set up the Buy One and Get One Free rule –
In the above screenshot, A Fountain Pen is Given for free with a Diary.
Now set up the Combinational rule –
While setting up combinational rule, select the discount type to be “Fixed Price”.
Next, go to add a discount on one product when purchased with another product.
Now, go to the settings page, and in the calculation mode, select “All Matched Rules”
Now, you get the desired result in the cart page –
Thus, you can see that for any number of subsequent purchase of pens, the price is fixed at $100 per pen.
